Counselling Bio

Most of us, if not all, experience personal difficulties at some stage in our lives. It is normal to struggle with such issues and need some help with these.

I am experienced working in the following areas: sexual abuse, people pleasing, grief & loss, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, conflict, family systems, betrayal, anxiety, depression, rage, difficulties setting boundaries, alcohol addiction, drug addiction, gambling, sex, and porn compulsion. Low self-esteem, narcissism and co-dependency, domestic abuse, and bullying.

I help individuals who struggle with compulsive sexual behaviour, or couples who are affected by sex and porn compulsion and cross addictions including chemsex. I am a fully qualified experienced Integrative Counsellor, Sex addiction/compulsion Therapist and Meditation Teacher.

I work with couples who’ve been affected by betrayal, conflict avoidance, lack of intimacy and trust issues like jealousy. Partners’ porn use, partner visiting sex workers. Swingers, revenge porn, open relationships, sugar babes and sugar daddies.

I have been successfully helping individuals with their challenges with sex, porn, and relationships, and have experience helping people with compulsive sexual behaviour and excessive porn use.

What makes me Different?

I have lived experience and provide a compassionate understanding I know what it’s like to struggle with compulsion/addiction. My way of being is non-judgemental, empathic, supportive, and warm. Challenging, effective and professional.

I am passionate about this line of work and love what I do. I provide safety for clients helping them understand compulsive behaviour, triggers, attachment, trauma, negative emotions, feelings, family systems, narcissism, and neglect.

Maybe you are here because you have found the courage to seek help.

Maybe you didn’t know you had a problem till you’ve been discovered or it’s no longer serving you.

Or maybe it is preventing you from getting into, or maintaining a healthy relationship?

How can I support you?

I provide an empathic supportive space for you to start exploring how you got here, and how you can change.

Helping you to understand what sex and porn compulsion looks like and how sometimes we use it to avoid negative emotions and feelings.

Rebuild trust in your relationship with yourself and provide you with ways of communicating safely, and honestly by setting boundaries.

I’m currently working with a wide range of diverse clients from different age groups, backgrounds, and cultures. Especially the Muslim community where I support men who struggle to be accepted by their communities if there are issues with porn and sex workers. I support couples where the man or woman has cheated and wants to repair their relationship/marriage.

I am a fully registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. COSRT and ATSAC.

My counselling practice is based in Runcorn, Cheshire at the Heath Business Park, and I also see clients from home online and by telephone. I work with various client problems, preferring not to specialise in any issue, and maintain regular monthly clinical supervision to ensure I continue to work effectively, ethically, and safely.

Offering short-term therapy or long-term therapy. Currently working with addiction, anxiety, depression, attachment styles, alcohol, gambling, cocaine, sex compulsion, porn compulsion, infidelity, anger/rage, people pleasing, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, neglect, and CPTSD.

I have a wide range of experience working using different modalities pluralistically. One size doesn’t fit all in my view, depending on the issue or issues I draw upon these to work with what’s best to suit your needs. Having worked successfully with alcohol, drugs & gambling addictions, porn and sex compulsion, grief, rage, relationship betrayals, conflict, boundaries, anxiety, depression, guilt, and shame.

I work with couples who present sexual and intimacy problems, infidelity, and trust issues. Difficulty communicating and conflict avoidant. Lack of boundaries, family dramas. Unable to express or be heard in a relationship, co-dependency, open relationships, and swinging.

What can you expect from me?

Professionalism, compassionate understanding. A non-judgemental approach. You will be fully heard, I work dynamically and effectively drawing on different modalities and my experience working with clients from all age groups and ethnicity. With over 600 hrs of client experience over the last 4 years.
